Showing Unknow cURL Error on returning to Dashboard

  • Hello,

    Once the oAuth screen is validated it shows green marks to all the 3 points listed there and asking to return to dashboard. But on dashboard showing,

    Unknown Error (code: cURL error 77: error setting certificate verify locations: CAfile: /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt CApath: none).

    And asking the resume setup again, and on all try same error showing. Am i missing anything in setup?

    I tried deactivating all plugins, as well as Really Simple SSL is deactivated. No caching plugin is installed. Also i have reseted WordPress using WP Reset just to fix this issue.

    While the site is running with https and showing secure, but the Site Health Tab for Site Kit showing the reference URL as non-https.

    Now when Really Simple SSL is activated, reference URL showing correctly but still the same issue.

    Same Problem

    Showing Error While Google Site Kit is installed,

    However, I have Resume setup & login with google account again but problem not solved.

    Tried Deactivated Plugin, Reintslled it but didn’t work.

    Facing same issue. Seems like something happened recently. On our site it was already setup and data was also showing.

    But now it’s not showing anything, page speed is showing error, and admin notice is showing the above mentioned issue.

    @dipakbbsr thanks for your report! Could you do the following checks:

    1) There is a known issue with Really Simple SSL preventing updates on the Site Kit service. Could attempt this workaround and let us know if it helps:

    – Temporarily deactivate Really Simple SSL
    – Update the values for WordPress Address and Site Address under Settings > General to https://
    – You may be logged out of the WordPress admin, log back in again
    – Reactivate Really Simple SSL
    – Attempt the setup process

    2) The error points the configuration of cURL on your server (perhaps in the PHP configuration). While it was a different cURL error, one user was able to make some adjustments in their server environment to resolve cURL configuration issues.

    Could you check with your hosting provider if the certificate for (PHP) cURL is properly configured to the right path?

    3) If the issue persists, provide your Site Health information, hosting plan and provider so we can troubleshooting further.

    There was something which has been taken care of with new update 1.9.0. So I nothing had to do and everything working fine now.
