Showing old HTML

    Actually, it creates some files with extension .html.old under wp-content/cache/page_enhanced/”sitename”, They don’t get deleted when I clear the cache.

    Any idea?

    You probably have your browser cache set to high expiry.

    (The default is 3600 seconds I believe).

    Change it to a lower value, if you prefer if it’s high or if you don’t even like 3600.

    What are your other settings?

    Yes, expired files get renamed to .old by garbage collection. When the file is created the next time (when someone visits your site or if cache priming happens for that link), the .old is deleted.

    Yeah, it was 3600 seconds. i minimized it to 300 seconds.

    What are your other settings?

    No need.

    I realize long expiry is fine.

    It’s better to try some other setting.

    Under “Cache Control policy”, don’t choose “cache with max-age”.

    You could use the no-cache option.

    Will it affect in page speed?

    No. That’s only browser cache. Choose the other options only for HTML not for CSS/JS and images.
