Showing my gmail first name in the emails I send

I am also having this issue with the Gmail API.

I’m using sendinblue and everything is fine now. But when use Gmail API it will show your gmail address and name instead of the from email and name you gave in the plugin setting. Though you check the force button

I have checked and due to some Google policies it’s getting the name from your Google Account, you need to change the name on your Google account on the plugin; Prevent option will not work with Google API.

I was able to figure out what I needed to do to get my Send As name and email to work properly. I had to join the group for the [email protected] on my google admin and then I had to enable the settings in my gmail account to “send as” the [email protected].

@hmeatball Could you explain more detail how you resolved this? I am having the same issue. I set up the API using my gmail account, but the API is working on a business site and needs to appear like it is sending from that business and not from me. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

I had to make sure my email was part of the Gmail Group.

Then I had to make sure I could send emails as the info@ email.

I think using sendinblue is a good choice. Because you can send 300 emails free in a day. And this is enough for most of the sites.
