Showing latest five posts on any Page

Hi! I am trying to create a Page template on which I want to list the five latest posts from two specific categories (for a “news overview” page on a site). I am not quite skilled enough on the_Loop to get it to work. Actually, regardless what I try (I simply started with adding the loop from “index.php” showing the latest posts) I get no output what so ever. Anyone that can send me in the right direction?
