showing icon with cod gateways on checkout page

there is a cod.png icon file in woocommerce\assets\images\payment_methods\72×72 but it seems unused by woocommerce

I’m on wordpress 6.6.1 and woocommerce 9.2.3 and so far I’ve been unable to show an icon for cod gateways on the checkout page. I found several plugins and snippets but they seem to work only up to wordpress 6.5.5.

The way the Checkout page looks depends on multiple factors, including firstly, the theme you’re using, your WordPress and WooCommerce versions, whether you’re using the Classic Checkout or the Blocks checkout, and maybe even plugins or code snippets that can modify the checkout as well.
