My ad is showing a configuration error, even though there are none, and the start/end dates show 1970. When I change the date and try to save, it reverts back. I’ve tried to delete the ad, but it won’t delete, and if I create a new ad, it populates with this one.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Sounds like a database issue.
What version of AdRotate do you use?

    AdRotate version 5.8.22
    I’m using WordPress 5.9.1

    Thank you!

That version has no known database issues and it’s the latest version.

If you’ve updated recently make sure the update has completed, you can see this in settings – maintenance. Near the bottom there is a database version indicator and a button to run the update if needed. You can also check all adverts for errors from there.

If that doesn’t help then Please check your servers error_log file for any errors. Usually found in your hosting dashboard.
Anything mentioning AdRotate is interesting. You’ll probably see a few errors about missing columns or missing tables.

There were no errors. I ran database clean-up, and confirmed internal versions were up to date.

Hmm, not sure what’s going wrong then.

Sometimes simply re-activating the plugin from your dashboard > Plugins will help with things similar to this. That’ll run the install script, which is designed to add missing database bits if it can spot anything amiss. Kind of like a soft reset. No data will be lost if you do.

Otherwise, try to make a new advert and see if that works. If it does, then the issue is isolated to the one broken advert. Replacing it with a new one would then the quickest way to resolve the problem.

I initially stated that deleting it or creating a new one doesn’t solve it. I’ve tried to delete the ad, but it won’t delete, and if I create a new ad, it populates with this one. I’m at a loss.

The issues/symptoms you describe strongly suggest a database issue.
But without an error i can’t advise you how to fix that.

Reinstalling the plugin will fix the issue but then all ads and their data will be lost… not something i fully recommend, but it may be the solution.

If you can dig up the database error i can get a more clear picture and give you better advise. Perhaps ask your hosting provider if there are any errors with the database for your website. If you’re not sure how to ask that, link this topic to them and they’ll know what to do.

They didn’t find any errors; I’ll uninstall and reinstall.

All right, let me know if you have further questions.

That worked. Thanks for the assistance.
