    I added the plugin wptouch which fixed the problem, but I would have liked to understand why it wasn’t mobile friendly on its own.

    I used the Jetpack CSS editor and put in the following.

    #header-second .sidebar-homepage {
        background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% #174867;
    }

    Hi Mark,

    Did the test few moments ago, with my demo site, and it’s mobile friendly.
    I have visited your site and notice the US states table is not mobile friendly. You should not use px in tables but percentages.

    @mohanavamsi: please check my response in your own topic.
