Showing a map from a selected list item

I am contemplating using a google map plugin for my site, but with some specific functionality. What I need is to display a list of sites/locations within my organization, and when a user selects a site (through a list) have the map generate showing it’s location from which they can get directions, etc…

Can anyone offer any suggestions on what plugin to use and also how to get this integrated?
