Showcase Template 2011

  • Version (pretty sure 3.3.1 but cant find this info). I am using 2011 and want to make my homepage using the showcase template. I found these instructions, “To get started with the custom Showcase Page Template you need to create a page for it. Choose the Showcase Template under page templates in any page,” from https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/twentyeleven/

    This sounds so easy but when I create the page it gives me two options in the template drop down…”Default” and “One Column / No Side Bar.”s

    The above instructions makes it sound like the Showcase template will be listed there. But it is not. How do I make it appear in the list, or am I just looking in the wrong place?
