Show WP Nicknames instead of Usernames?

Yes, that’s possible.

Go to UU Dashboard – Settings then scroll down to “User Profiles Settings” you will see “Profile Display Name:”, there you should be able to make it work the way you wish.

I currently have that field set as “Use the display name set by the user in the profile” but it still shows the Username, not the “Show publicly as” name. I am using the following shortcode in my page:

Hmmm… that’s strange… it works on Google Chrome, but not Firefox or IE. I don’t know why. Are you able to try in Chrome?

It looks like it doesnt like my theme so in the meantime, I reverted back to TwentyThirteen

yeah, i would say that your theme is blocking somehow input fields. I will check it again in few minutes

All right,

I just registered, i went into my dashboard and changed my display name, you named it “Main Character Name”. It worked!!
Can you please check it out again?

We’re going to upload a new version shortly with some CSS tweaks. When checking your website i found out some CSS issues. We would need to make the User’s dashboard a little bit more responsive for “TwentyThirteen”. Although, it’s a standard theme, many people use it.

So.. we will have a tweaked version soon

OK, interesting… So I have to go to the Dashboard > Profile and change the name in that field. This changes the WP “Display publicly as” field automatically. However, it does not work the other way around… which is fine with me.
