    Hello,

I would like to ask if it possible I can see the whole website title by default instead of the title tag in the yoast snippet? I’m aware of it that you can customize the title according to your needs, but it would be better in my case to show the whole default title instead of title tag so we can update the meta’s quickly if required.

    Field I’m referring to – https://ibb.co/Sf7nmpY

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks a lot ~

    Hello Ammar,

Thanks for your question about SEO titles. Sure, you remove the %%title%% snippet variable and fill in the whole post title in that field.

Let me know if you have follow-up questions.

    Hi Maybellyne,

Thank you for your response. I know I can put my own title in the field but my query was, by default, yoast wraps the default title in the title tag and fetches it accordingly unless you put your own title, is it possible instead of showing the title tag by default, can I see the whole actual page title?

Please let me know if there is any confusion.

I’m not sure I understand what you’re describing.

is it possible instead of showing the title tag by default, can I see the whole actual page title?

So if you don’t put the default Yoast SEO snippet variable %%title%% that fetches the title of the post/page, you’d see the whole actual page title only when you type it in the field.

I think you’re getting confused, let me explain.

So yoast has this option available that if there is no custom post title available, you can fetch the post title through the %%title%% variable, is that correct? What I wanted to know is instead of the %%title%% variable, is it possible we can fetch the title directly in written by default if there is no custom meta title available? Like for e.g, it currently wraps the whole title in %%title%% variable and that variable helps fetching the title, is it possible we can directly fetch the title in written without the help of the variable so we can directly edit the metas if needed?

Please let me know if there are any confusions.

I think you want the preload the title and then edit it if needed instead of loading title via variable %%title%t%.

If that’s true, you may set your custom title on the Global settings ( i.e. Yoast SEO > Settings > Content Types) for your Posts or Pages that does auto load on the SEO title field.

What ever you write custom on the SEO title field will be globally written on the post title. Then you may edit the meta title in your own.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi @suascat_wp

You’re close, but I don’t want to preload a static content, I want to show the exact content which is hidden behind the variable as an text instead of the variable. Please see the example below.

Please let me know if there are still any confusions.

    Thank you –

No, it’s not possible to show the exact content which is hidden behind the variable.
