Show whether store is open

First off: great plugin – we started our project using custom post types, but once we decided to do geo lookup as well we quickly decided to use your plugin. Ideally we’d like to show whether a shop is open at a given time, by comparing it to the user’s time. How are opening hours stored, so we can write php date functions for it?
