• Is it possible to show the waitlist subscription box in the variable products before the user selects variation?

Actually, I don’t want to show the variations when the variable product is out of stock, only the waitlist box, like on a simple product right after the user lands on a product page.

    Thanks

Hi @splittedspace, as per the flow, the waitlist form i.e. out of stock form will only be visible if that variant will be out of stock. Now, the flow you are looking can be achieved by setting up a variant as default , as shared here – https://prnt.sc/leJ0V7_CGOSa

Let us know if you need any further help.

Okay, Here is a little context to explain why I’m asking this. I believe it can be helpful for other shop owners with a similar flow. It might also help you decide whether to implement such a feature in the upcoming version.

I sell keyboards, and I have LOTS of components (cables, caps, keys, switches, etc.) that I use to make variations for my products, but I have a limited number of boards. So, I manage my stock not on the variations level but on the product level. Therefore, I need to show my customers that the product is out of stock right after they land on the product page, without allowing them to switch between variations because it doesn’t make sense as the product is out of stock completely, regardless of the variation.

Here are the examples for better understanding:

    Variable product in stock: https://splitted.space/keyboards/split-klaviatura-cleo
Variable product out of stock: https://splitted.space/keyboards/cleo-white

These products have the same number of variations and settings, but the second is out of stock on the product level. As you can see, the waitlist box is displayed, but the variations are not. I achieved this with another plugin for waitlists, but I will not post a link to it here as I think it’s not appropriate.
