Show variation as image dropdown

Hello,

Does anyone know if and how its possible to show the variations in WooCommerce as a dropdown with images only? I know its possible so show the images in a row with a plugin (like woo-variation-swatches). But thats not what i would like to see. A dropdown with images only to select fabrics and prints.
