Show uploads in admin section

    In the old versions of WordPress, once you uploaded an image, you would see its thumbnail in the “browse” tab of the uploader. This easily allowed you to see what you have already uploaded to the post.

    My site does NOT require placing images in the body of the post, the site automatically scans for attached images.

    Is there a way to duplicate the previous functionality, or a hook to run some script once an image is uploaded so I can make my own meta box to do the same?
