Is there some code to show/hide content depending on logged in status and role?
I just installed free plugin, and very pleased with simplicity and speed, but I use the following code [su_members]Content for logged members[/su_members] from plugin ‘Shortcodes’, and it only works if user role is ‘Administration’. It would be handy if I could show content 1) on the basis of being logged in 2) on basis of role.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @alexcz

Showing content on the basis of user login status feature is out of scope of this plugin.
I am sure there are many other plugins which fulfill this purpose.

After some trial an error it seems that your plugin alone works fine regarding showing loggedin users the logout button, or any other item with the condition ‘show to logged in users only’, but only if the user is admin level. If I login as a contributor, the ‘Login’ button remains visible, but I am logged in (I can use a limited part of the admin area) It’s the same if I use any plugins for role creation etc.
I don’t know if this is something to do with how your plugin works, or a problem with my WP set up.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Sorry, my bad!! I just reread your first reply, and clicked on your suggested link, and that plugin seems to do the job!! I DID try others, but they didn’t work! :-/

    ok..
so, both plugins can work together right?

    Yes, they are both excellent!

    cool! i agree, but,

    the issues i want resolved are;
    1. when a logged in user clicks on “hello, username” or “hello, firstname”, it takes him/her to woocommerce my-account page. i don’t want that! i want that “hello, xxxxxx” to be blank, that is, linkless

    2. when an unlogged-in user clicks on a restricted page, instead of the login/register form to popup, it sends them to wordpress front login/register page.

    please, any ideas?

ok… i have solved no.2 from the plugin settings.
    now, left with no.1

    please, help!
