Show the most recent XX posts/days/etc..

  • Changing this value doesn’t seem to make any difference, every post shows up on the front page… I’m starting to get alot of posts now and want to trim this down a bit.
    I did a search on the forums and found posts that address this problem, but didn’t find any solution to it. Is there anything I can modify to make this work? Even if it is something I can put in manually to limit the posts to 5 or 10 that would be great ??

  • Go into Options >> Reading and select the number of posts you want there.

    I have done that. My problem (like the previous posts in this thread) is that it’s not working.

    It seems that the ‘$cat=-5’ is the reason why the option doesn’t work but I can’t figure out how to keep the ‘$cat =-5’ and only display a max of 5 posts.
