is there a way to collect the latest post from the whole site inside the network at network home page?

in wpmu terms, it only work per-blog

perhaps i misconfigure it, but here is what have i done:
1. install and activate it
2. on superAdmin-options i enable tags-blog
3. i choose tags (to create a blog of global tags)
4. logout and re-login as site-user (blog user in wpmu)
5. create new post (with categories and tags) and publish it
6. go checking mydomain/tags (im using sub-directory structure) and found nothing new

have i missing something?

yes, you missed something.

Put it in the mu-plugins folder *not* the regualr plugins folder. It does mention this in the readme.

The mu-plugins folder may need to be created under the /wp-content/

my next problem is, i want the latest blog posts to show on front page, so i setup the SWT to “post to main blog”, and that exactly it does… it adds the blog posts to main blog post.
how can i separate those two? (latest sub-blog posts and latest main-blog posts)

OOT: is it (the mu-plugins directory) the place to put all wpmu-based plugins? since im using wp3 and previously i thought all the plugins go to plugins directory… on second thoughts maybe thats the culprit for some unfunctional plugins i tested ??

only use it if the plugin’s readme file says to put the plugin there. Code in that folder runs all the time.

for that you’d need a different plugin. ??

you could re-do parts of your theme to make sections for posts from the main blog to certain categories show in one area, then everything else in the rest.

I am trying all possibilities to get the most recent posts from all blogs on my home page.

But unfortunately i am not able to do it yet. I tried SWT also.

I have installed it. checked the post to main site option. (faced difficulty in putting the loop)

Tried to create the mu-plugins directory moved SWT to mu-plugins.

Put the child blogs to public blogs.

tried various possibilities of loops here at www.remarpro.com

Hope i haven’t missed any possibility.
