Show sticky posts at top of Ajax results

For whatever reason Sticky Posts do not work in Ajax calls when using WP_Query.

For this, you would need to run a custom query before Ajax Load More and pass the post IDs to the post__in parameter.

This might be a bit of a pain, so let me know if this is something you want to do and I can help.

@dcooney It would really be grand if you could implement this custom query in the shortcode builder (“[] Append Sticky Posts”). it’s an expected feature in WP, and ALM not supporting this is a real drag.

@ibanner it’s an expected behavior in a standard WP_Query not when used with admin-ajax.

I won’t be adding it to the shortcode builder but I can put together an example. It involves running 2 queries and merging the arrays.

Sticky post support has been added for regular post listings in ALM 2.14.1.
