    Hi, Team

We have been using CTX for a while and so far the experience is good.

However, we have been stuck on one issue long time and want to get it fixed this time. When the products show up in the google shopping ads, could you please kindly advise how to set the shipping texts for the products instead of the shipping cost set in the Google merchant center? To be clear, say one customer find the product in the google shopping, we want the shipping cost to show texts instead of real cost.

Because our products are oversized and most times need to be delivered using special courier companies, the shipping cost must be calculated on the website and it is impossible to tell exactly in the Google merchant center how much it is. In this case, we want the shipping information in Google Shopping to show texts, for example, “TBC on website” or “To be calculated on the web”. We asked this question and were told by Google support that a separate feed must be done.

Currently, we use Austpost for small items which shows correct shipping costs. But for big items, we just set a fixed price for this in the GMC. It is incorrect and misleading information that causes complaints from the customers who found the difference in the shipping cost between Google shopping ads and real costs when checking out at our website.

Hopefully the above clarifies our problem.

    Best regards

    Hi @lovebeans

    Thanks for reaching us.

According to GMC data feed specification, the shipping field value should be either the shipping price or a shipping label. If you put a label, there should be shipping settings in GMC with the same Label, and the item will get the shipping price according to which label matches the shipping setting in GMC.

So, the way you are trying to put a custom text as the shipping field value is not a valid format, and it cannot be achieved.

Hope the above is clear to you and feel free to reach us again if you have any further queires.

    Best regards,

Thanks for your reply. I guess I did not make my point clear. Please see the pic below. The below pic is the real example in the google shopping ads. And more and more companies use this way to minimize the misleading shipping information. That is what I want to achieve if possible.
