Show "several days" Event in "widget calendar"

  • Hi Stephen,

    first of all thanks a lot for the great Plugin.

    I have two “little” Problems with the “widget calendar”.
    I use the “widget calendar” to Show my upcoming Events in the sidebar.

    1.
    everything seems fine but if I have a Event that occurs on several days, only the start date shows up in the “widget calendar”. I have read this postand it seems that this is the way the “calendar widget” works.

    My Problem now is that I (off course) need this feature and need to change the template. Can you give me a hint where in the code I can change this behaviour?

    I Use qTranslate for my multilingual Site. The “calendar widget” shows the correct Title for each language if I do a mouse-over on a day.
    The Problem is when I change the month of the calendar the mouse over text shows incorrect in this way: <!–:de–>Title DE<!–:–><!–:en–>Title EN<!–:–><!–:es–>Title ES<!–:–>

    I hope my English isn’t to bad an understand my problems.

    1. Will be an option in the next update ??

    2. Mouseover what?- a specific date, the title of the calendar, the navigation links? Not sure what to suggest really, have you tried asking qTranslate developer? All text is translated using the standard API, but I think there have been problems with qTranslate and ajax requests returning untranslated strings.

    Hey Stephen Harris,

    its me again because of 1.
    Is this working already…do I have to change something?

    Because on my site it isn’t working and I am have the newest version of Event Organiser.

    For example here:
    https://www.enriqueyjudita.com/de/events/category/tangoreisen/

    there is a event that runs from 24. – 31. of August (Technik und Musikalit?t – Tango Ferien in der Toskana, Poppi) but in the calender only the 24. is marked with the event.

    You’ll need to select to show ‘long events’ in the widget settings for it to show long events. (I didn’t want to change default behaviour).

    Hello. When including the widget calender shortcode [eo_calendar] in a page, whats the option to make long-term-events visible here too? It only shows the startday

    I think I neglected to support this feature for shortcodes. Maybe in 2.3 :).
