Show recent posts on my website

Please help? I’m not sure if I need a plugin or a non-WordPress-affiliated program. It would be really useful to my website. Thanks.

It depends upon the software running on your website and I do not know what that is.

The most recent postings in your blog will be in its RSS feed so I suggest you look at how to incorporate entries from the feed into your index page site.

My website has no software that I know of. It is basically HTML and PHP.

How do I incorporate the RSS Feed on to my website? Do I need to use a certain program and install it in my root path to receive the blog’s feed?

You can list recent posts by using two plugins.
1) Exec-PHP by Soren Weber (allows PHP in posts)
2) WP-Category Posts by Brian Groce
