Show products below sub-categorys

How can I make products display below the sub-category’s on a separate line?

For example, in a category page if you have 2 sub-category’s it will display 2 sub-cat’s then 1 product

I would like the products to drop to a new line possibly with a small break or gap?
or possibly show the sub-category’s display above “Showing 1–** of ** results?

is there something i can insert into functions.php to make this happen?

I had found the first reddit link previously but could not get that to work when i tried it.

but the one on the github link worked perfectly for me in functions.php.
I also changed the order as mentioned from 40-50-60 to 1-2-3 to display the sub-cats above the order drop down menu.
