    Is it possible to display posts on Featured news section based on any particular category / tag?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Currently, the random post was available in a color blog free version theme. You need to customize the theme to get this feature on the free version or you can go for the pro version which has the feature to choose the feature post from specific categories

    It needs lots of customization code which we cannot provide you via this forum. You need to ask for customization to add feature on free theme via the contact page or you can hire developer for it.
