Show posts in archive/query but no direct link

  • I am creating a voucher style website. I have a custom post type ‘discounts’ which I create posts (discounts) under, I then display these in an archive overview.

    I want to display these, but have no direct access to the actual individual posts (discounts). I’m aware I could just remove the link, but the post itself will still be indexed and could be accessed.

    Similar to here: https://www.vouchercodes.co.uk/prezzoplc.co.uk where you can’t actually access a direct page for each offer.

    Is this the correct way of doing something like this?
