• I plan to create a site which uses two WordPress blogs – I want to use the first blog as a CMS and the second blog for a Q&A section. The Q&A should be based on a WordPress blog without a plugin. And I would like to post the newest questions (and maybe some answers) of the Q&A blog on the frontpage or another page of the CMS blog.

I would prefer to have two seperate installations of WordPress with two seperate databases for this task – so that if the Q&A blog runs into problems (due to high traffic or whatever) the CMS Blog is not affected.

Here is my question: How can I show posts from the Q&A blog on my CMS blog? How can I connect the two blogs? What would be the best solution?

Any help is very much appreciated!

Had you not said ‘separate DBs’… MultiSite with the plugin ‘WPMU Sitewide Tags’ would be great for this (or even some of the other cross posting plugins).

That said, even if you have two DBs, if they’re on the same server, it’s not going to matter when you get high traffic. Down is down.

thanks, but I would prefer to show posts from one blog in the other blog without using a plugin.

If my Q&A blog really will attract a lot of traffic, I would even consider hosting it on a different server.
