The plugin allows for full customization of the template used to display widget items, and you can modify that template to show whatever you want, including and image. The knowledge base contains articles on the subject of overriding templates through the theme. Templates are similar to WP theme templates, they are mix of HTML and PHP.

Next version of the Pro edition will get such template by default (you can have many templates for the same thing, and you can use them in different widgets, depending on what you need).

I admit my PHP/HTML knowledge is extremely limited. So, if the next Pro version makes this easier, i might just wait for it.

    Thanks for the prompt response!

    Hey Milan,
Any update on this? I have been trying to get featured images to show up in a rating list for a few days now.

Been editing gdrts–stars-rating–list–shortcode.php and messing around with <?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?>

    Thanks

I am still planning to add an option for this in the widget in one of the next versions of the plugin. But, considering that this can be done already by modifying the template, this is not a high priority.

I recommend adding new templates to adjust presentation to your liking, that is why templates are used in the first place.
