    Hello,

The plugin works great — I moved from the older and unsupported “Last Viewed Posts” however the only issue I’m having is even after clearing cookies the plugin still shows something before any posts/pages are viewed.

I realize nothing actually happens until you view 2 posts or pages to set the cookie but until then the plugin shouldn’t show anything.

I’m also using WP Super Cache so it may be that some viewed posts are cached somehow. Yet even after deleting the cache and cookies, posts are shown. Once you view another post (or 2), then it is working properly.

In addition, the initial posts that are showing before the cookie is set are not filtered by the plugin. In my case, in the widget settings I have only one category but the plugin is showing posts from all categories/post types before the cookie is set.

Not a huge deal but it would be good to get this fixed.

Browser cache maybe?! Did you tried it with a hard page refresh?

Yep browser cache completely cleared including all cookies. Tried with a fresh browser: I have Safari, Safari Dev Preview, Chrome, Chrome Canary, Chromium, Firefox and Firefox Nightly.

Clearing cache and cookies with a fresh browser then loading the page shows this behavior and is repeatable.

    See here:

Before cookie is set (showing unfiltered custom post types and excluded categories):
Before plugin is set (showing custom post types and other post categories)

After viewing a page and cookie is set; posts are filtered as per widget settings and showing posts correctly:
After a page is viewed and cookie is set; posts are filtered correctly
