show newest post in blog at the front page

    I use the “static frontpage plugin” because I need it ??

    Anyway – I like to show the 2 (og maybe 3) newest post in the blog somewhere at the frontpage. it could be in the sidebar and it could be somewhere else.

    How do I do that?

  • I know your problem as I’ve searched for this myself. What I found so far was that I needed to create a page template (in this case it will be for “home” page). In that template create a loop. But I also needed to create a plugin to make this loop fill with posts instead of just the info of that page.

    There must be a simpler way though. I need to check this again.

    hehe yeah there must be a much more simple way. My guess is that we just need to write very few php-lines in the sidebars saying

    “show 3 latest headlines i tabel_blog” (something like that)
