Show more text in Excerpt

  • I have added the [rpwe] short code to my front page in WordPress.
    [rpwe thumb=”true” readmore=”true” excerpt=”true” length=”10″]

    It does show the latest news but the excerpt of the latest news is a 1 liner. Would like to show more lines than that. I tried adding ‘length=10’ but that doesn’t make a difference.

  • Adding to this, when I try and increase beyond 10 words, my excerpt collapses to no words. For example this:

    [rpwe limit="1" thumb="true" thumb_height=“180” thumb_width=“350” excerpt=“true” length=“20” readmore=“true” readmore_text="Read More »"]

    Shows no excerpt. But with this I get 10 words:
    [rpwe limit="1" thumb="true" thumb_height=“180” thumb_width=“350” excerpt=“true” length=“10” readmore=“true” readmore_text="Read More »"]
