    Hello,

I know that by default, if there are no events scheduled for a given month, the month view of the calendar will not display. I have read in another thread that you’re just going to suggest making the list view the default view.

However, I’m wondering if it’s possible to hook into some code (or even better, update the plugin) so that we can display an empty calendar.

When our visitors visit the community calendar, they expect to see a calendar, not just a list or nothing at all. How can we make this possible?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This just magically started working “for no reason.” Was this functionality released in the latest update?

Hi @sandeld, apologies for the delay in my reply here. I was out for a couple of days. I’m back now, and I would be glad to help you out with this one.

That’s weird. There was no new functionality released in regard to the views. However, I suspect it could be caching. Would be good to clear out any caching, either third-party plugin or server side.

Would also be good if you could keep your plugins up to date. ??

I’d be closing this ticket for now and please do not hesitate to bump a new ticket on our way. This is for us to track threads more efficiently.

    Have a great weekend ahead.

    It’s not caching.

All the plugins are and have been up to date.

I transferred the whole site from the staging link above to the live site, and the empty view persists.

I wouldn’t say this is resolved in the slightest.

Hi @sandeld, oops sorry I misunderstood. That’s the correct behavior with the Month view and we definitely suggest the List view for this. However, I’d like to check with our team if there is another workaround or a snippet. I’d get back to you whenever I hear from them.

    Have a great week ahead.

Hi @abzlevelup. I’m experiencing the same thing on several of my sites as well.

This appears to have come up sometime after the release of v5.16.3. I’ve got one site still on v5.16.2.1 and the default month view with no events for that month still loads an empty calendar, but on my staging site, it’s forcing the layout to not appear with the “Latest Past Events” content added below the “no upcoming events” alert message.

Hi @rdrewniak2, thanks for getting back to me here. Sorry to hear about this.

I would recommend updating it to v5.16.4. The month view should show up even if there are no events in the current month selected, with an info alert “There are no upcoming events”. https://share.getcloudapp.com/DOurRpnN

Appreciate your patience here. Let me know how it goes on your end.
