    Hi Charlie,

When I am looking for movies in my collection, it would help a lot to know the media type in lists and on each movie display page. This way, once I decide what to watch, I can tell right there where to access it (I have DVDs, Blu-ray, iTunes digital files, etc.).

I am using the imdb Headbox. Any way to show it the media type along with the movie everywhere?

Thanks! As always, this is a great plugin and fun to work with.

  • Pro tip: you can override most of the plugin’s templates by creating a wpmovielibrary directory in your theme’s folder and replacting the template folder structure.

In your case, create a wpmovielibrary/movies/movie-imdb-headbox.php file in your theme’s folder and use this gist’s content: https://gist.github.com/CaerCam/41fe67f7386513b09148 It will show a headbox with media display before certification. You can edit this template in any way you want ??

    That’s great info. Thanks.

So, I tried it and it worked just like you said. Awesome. Your instructions were spot on and providing the code like that went above and beyond.

So, my remaining challenge is that all of the custom media types I use don’t have icons, so it just shows a blank space. Is there a way for me to add my own media icons and tell them to show when one of my custom media types shows?

The plugin uses a custom icon font, so there’s no easy way to add your own, unless you edit the font itself… That being said, I’ve been thinking of ways to make it easier for users to have their own custom icons (see https://github.com/wpmovielibrary/wpmovielibrary/issues/240) though I’m not sure as to how it would be done. Furthermore, if your missing icons are kind of standard, you can always share them and I’ll see if they can be added to the font ??
