  • Hey Cssofttest,

I’m not sure I fully understand what you are trying to do in regards to the map. The map functionality is going to display in the area based on the criteria used for the search. For example, if we use the zip code you have provided, 97217, the map should only pull in listings in that zip code and the map will show only that area. What it comes down to is the information that is being searched, the map will reflect that information. Hello,

Can you please let me know the shortcode. Which shortcode we can use for show map via specific zip code and show listing of properties as well.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

To add a short code to a blog post, you will first need to select the second blue “house” icon that is in the visual editor. See here: https://prntscr.com/brz9xb

This will open a window and allow you to make such selects as area types, price range, beds / baths, property types, and more.

First, you will need to change the area TYPE from “city” to “zip”. See here: https://prntscr.com/brzaqk

Then, make any other selections you desire and at the bottom of the small window, click “Insert listings”.

This will insert the correct short code using all the selections you entered.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns. Have a great day!

    [idx-listings zip=”97201″ propertytypes=”145,146,147,148,149,150,151,174,175″ orderby=”DateAdded” orderdir=”DESC” count=”10″]

how can i show these listing in the map as well via shortcode.

    Hello,

In the “General” options of the dsIDXpress plugin, you have a radio button option for “Default view for Results pages”.

Under this option you can select to show a LIST of properties or a LIST of properties PLUS a MAP.

    See here: https://prntscr.com/bsuydy

You’ll want to select “List + Map” if you would like to always show the map on results pages.

    Hello,

My apologies. I just realized you were specifically asking about the use of “short codes”.

When using SHORT CODES on PAGES, there is no option to include a map.

However, if you instead use “IDX Pages” (which comes with the plugin) and use the filters at the BOTTOM of those pages as you create them, you will be able to always include the map if you have properly selected this in the general options that I explained my last last post.
