Show link from link library to the bottom of post

  • Hi Yannick, You have a nice plugin.
    I want to add links at the bottom of each wordpress post. It would provide the same result as the “Related post plugin”. although I just want the links to show up at the bottom of post.. something like this:
    Must Read: Post Title

    For this I have already added links to the Link Library. I am looking for a way to place a random link of a specific category (from the link library) to the bottom of a random wordpress post.

    How can I achieve this?

    This is already possible. If you configure a library to display links ordered at random, then limit the number of links to display, this will achieve this.

    Thanks for mentioning that a random link can affect SEO. That saved me ton of work as I was employing a developer from Fiver to do the job. Actually I started down that road but changed it at your suggestion.

    So we did have to get a random link from LinkLibray to start but we stored the reference in the mysql db, so when the post is loaded or refreshed it would get the same link (As an Example — https://www.dietnutritionadvise.com/fruits-and-vegetables-with-the-most-nutrients-per-calorie/ – Look for “Also read”). We also went a step ahead and set it up for multiple LinkLibrary Categories. Each Link Library category would reference links from a different site. I realize that we do not want to get too aggressive on external linking as that may not be too good for SEO, although one external and one internal link maybe optimal.

    I though I would share this, if someone else in the community is doing something similar.
