Up to version 3.2.23, the Simplelightbox showed our images Titles in the caption. However, after an update, it is now showing their description instead. Is there any way to get it back to showing title?

    Hi @dave_garlock,

Unfortunately, there isn’t such a possibility to change it back to show the images’ titles instead of descriptions. We have adjusted this change for the consistency reasons due to many requests from NGG users since this was the default behavior of all the other lightbox effects.

    Thanks for your understanding

Could you add an option to choose which you display? If not, that leads us with the choices of using an old version of your plugin, or changing the metadata of hundreds of files, neither of which is very appealing, since we already added all the correct metadata to the title because that’s what your plugin was displaying before the update.

    Hi @dave_garlock,

Unfortunately, a custom code will not be the best solution since that isn’t update safe.

I will be happy to add a feature request for an option that would allow choosing the captions source for SimpleLightbox.
