    Hi Tobias

Can you give me some advice so I don’t spend hours trying to do the impossible!

I want to hold a large table then display different columns on different pages. However, from time to time I will need to add additional columns in the middle of the table. If I use the normal show_columns option, this will mean amending numerous pages.

For example; I create a table with columns headed Audi, Bentley, BMW and a page that shows columns 1 & 3 (Audi & BMW). If I add a new column Alfa at the left side, to make my page show the same columns as before, I will need to change the short code.

I’m going to need display lots of different column permutations on different pages so what I really need is a way to select the columns based on the content of the header cells, not the column number. Something like show_column=Audi,BMW.

Is this possible? My coding skills are zero (though I’m good at cut and paste)! so if it’s something that could be developed easily I’d be happy to send you another donation.

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

I see what you mean, but unfortunately, I’m not aware of a solution here. ?? There’s no “Column Filter” Extension for TablePress yet, and unfortunately, I don’t have time to develop one, at the moment.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

sure! Sorry that I couldn’t help here. I hope that you can still use TablePress for this project somehow.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
