Show/hide categories/products by country, by asking, not by IP geolocation

    Hello,
    I am looking for a plugin or method within WooCommerce to show/hide categories or products by a person’s location, not through geolocation via IP Address as I have found plugins that do that but by asking upon site entry where the user is located.

    Specifically, my client’s site https://www.rascofr.com has certain products that are only available in Canada. They would like to only show those products/categories if someone enters the site and says they are located in Canada.

    As an example, my client has specifically requested something similar to what is seen on https://www.boohoo.com. This site takes you to their UK site by default, but if you are in the USA (or elsewhere) there is a header that asks you if you would prefer to go to the USA site.

    That functionality combo of geolocation and asking location as boohoo.com would be great, but I think we could also go with something simpler, like an entry question that says “Where are you located?” with options: USA, Canada, or Other and we then hide/show categories or products based on selection for the rest of the person’s visit.

    Does anyone have any ideas on how we might accomplish this using WooCommerce? Is there a plugin out there? I have done searches and found a few that automatically do this with IP geolocation, but have not found one that does it by user selection.

    Everything I’ve seen for WooCommerce is based on automatically guessing the location based on geolocation – I haven’t seen something like this around.

    Your best option may be to work with a develpoer to build exactly what you need. I highly recommend contacting one of the services on our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/
