    Is there a way to display the featured image’s thumbnail even if it is the only image attached to the product (there are no additional images)?

    To display the featured image as a thumbnail (if no additional images are available) is possible by customizing the plugin code.

    Do you mean the “pro version” ?
    Yes, there have a filter for disable it in the pro version that you can use in your child theme.
