Show extra fields above default questions

You can change the position of the entire group of Extra Fields by moving the $awpcpextrafields field code under Classifieds->Settings, Ad/Listing tab for Single Ad HTML template.

The field codes determine the location of the fields. You can sort the extra fields to show the ISBN at the top under Classifieds->Extra Fields.

How do I change the order of these fields on both the individual ad listing pages and the search page as well? Does this need to be done in the code on the back end?

The ordering of extra fields happens under Classifieds->Extra Fields. You can set that order to be whatever you like. This will impact the individual ad pages and search both.

Thanks, but how do I move the whole set of extra fields above the standard fields (including “Ad Title”, “Name of Person to Contact”, and “Contact Email”) on the List an Item page?

Move the field code $awpcpextrafields in the HTML template under Classifieds->Settings, Ad/Listing tab. There’s a setting for the template under there and the HTML in that setting contains the field codes and where they show up in the rendering.
