Show expired events

Hi williamlevins,

It generally defaults to upcoming (future) events. How about adding from and to attributes to the shortcode – something like this:

[event_embed category="108" from="1900-01-01" to="2100-12-31"]

(Of course, if you don’t want any future events – ie you just want past events – you could modify the to value.)

Would that work here?

I had tried the date range previously. It seems to ignore the date range if the event has “expired”. That is, if the event is in the past.

Tried updating it again – just to see again…

And this produces a blank page…

If I put an event in with “current” or future dates – then yes it’ll show. But if the start and end date are in the past… it does not show. Which is what I’m trying to show – expired, past events.

I’m not sure I can replicate the same thing re expired events. If I use something like:

Then it shows me events from that category, starting with the earliest (which can be an expired event).

I can use the same inline template you just did without any issue. If you try it again with WP_DEBUG set to true (in your wp-config.php) file do you see any pertinent errors?

What version of the plugin are you using?

Up-to-date on all plug-ins. Event Rocket 1.5.1. Event Calendar, Pro, Community, Eventbrite all at 3.7

Perhaps we misunderstood one another though – when you wrote that it produced a blank page I thought perhaps you literally meant the so-called “white screen of death”.

Did you merely mean that nothing appeared where you expected to see the shortcode output?

Oh I see, so it’s simply not finding any results in that case. Well, in that case we’re both seeing different things – perhaps there’s a conflict of some kind?

Where are you try to embed this? Is it within an existing event, or alongside existing event-related content?
