Menu Based On Form Values

I’m building a site where members check off their specific skills in a checklist in their member’s form.

Site visitors can search for members with such skills by typing the skill they’re looking for into the directory search bar, and that’s OK.

But what I would also like to have is a list/menu of skills visible on the site, perhaps in a sidebar. So, a visitor can see the list – i.e. “carpentry, plumbing, electrical…” and click the skill to find appropriate members.

How to do this?
