    Hi,
I hold online events on my website (Google Meets), that are not based on a physical location.

Since it’s an online event, and I want people around the world to join at the same time, is there a way for the event to show up according to the viewer’s local timezone?

Right now the event always shows up in AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight-Savings Time), no matter what country it is being viewed in.

Could not find an option to enable this.

    Thank you, Sam

    Hi @samtime

    Thanks for reaching out!

Unfortunately, it is not part of the feature set. If you go to Events → Settings in your wp-admin and scroll down to the Time Zone Settings section, you’ll see that there are two settings for the Time Zone Mode option: “use site-wide time zone everywhere”, and “use manual time zones for each event”. The Time Zone Mode tells The Events Calendar what time zone to display the event times in. You could check all available settings for timezones here >> https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/working-with-time-zones.

    Hi @iammarta ,
Just checking, does the “Virtual Events” add on, or Pro version of the plug in add this functionality?

Otherwise, would be awesome to see in a possible future update.
    Best, Sam

    Hey there @samtime !

Right now Virtual Evens doesn’t add this Timezone functionality to the plugin. Actually using Virtual Events you’ll be able to connect your WordPress to Zoom to automatically generate Meeting / Webinars links, embed some links of video platforms like YouTube.

You can see all features available with Virtual Events on this page => https://theeventscalendar.com/products/wordpress-virtual-events/

There’s been no movement on this ticket for more than a week, so I’m going to close it as resolved.

If you still need assistance with this, please open a new ticket and we’ll be happy to help.

    Cheers,
    Eugene.

I would like to request this feature as well, as it would be very useful for virtual events. I recently purchased a license and was previously told that the development of this feature might be in the pipeline – are there any updates on that? Thanks!
