Show Doc Category Sort Order #

Hi

I just started using your plug-in for a local project, and it’s working well. I do have 1 question.

Is it possible to show the sort order number for categories and sub categories on the Doc Categories page? If not, I would like to submit a feature request to have this implemented.

Ideally this would work as a screen option, just like Description, Slug, and Count. Simply add an option for “Sort”, and show it in the category list as an editable text field—small box should suffice. This way we can quickly change the sort order number. You’d need a button for us to save it, or just a bulk action that said “sort order” so we could Apply to all selected (or any that were changed would be auto-selected).

Additionally, you could make 2 of these, one for Sort and one for Sub Sort since they seem to be separate, unless you coded it so that it automatically applied to sub-sort if the category had a parent already.

If you wanted to get advanced, there could be an option to drag-and-drop sort things on the bottom of category page—listing all of the categories and sub categories as thin strips showing titles and sort orders that could be dragged around—but even just basic text boxes we could type in would be a big help right now.

I feel this would be a great productivity improvement and hope it’s something that can be implemented sooner than later.
