• Hello,

we are using your cool theme in combination with the Podlove Publisher on our Website (https://ganzderpapa.net).
Podlove Publisher handles our podcast feed and puts new episodes (i suppose under a separate custom post type) into the normal WordPress Loop / frontpage together with WordPress posts.

It can also handle categories. Our episodes show up when selecting the category in the sidebar.

Now for the problem: the newest episode won’t be displayed in the header (e.g. the promotional section for new podcast episodes)!
A regular WP post is displayed if the corresponding category is selected.

Might this be a problem with a custom post type? Because as I said the episodes are in the correct category. Can the theme be enhanced to support this or is there anything I can do myself to display them in the header?

    Thanks in advance!

  • How did you fix this? I’m having the same issue.

We ?fixed“ it by a dirty workaround: instead of showing the Podlove episodes alongside the blog articles on the frontpage we disabled that. Additionally we copy/paste the Description and Shownotes over to a new WordPress article, i.e. making an exact duplicate of the Podlove episode but in WordPress.

The article then shows up in the theme header and is also correctly tagged.

Not the best solution, but for now an acceptable fix because we don’t plan to show the episodes from podlove on an extra sub page. And if we do, we can use the tagged articles.
