• Hi There

I’ve just started using wordpress file upload so I may be missing something obvious here..

In the main settings I have the ‘Show Custom Fields in Media Library’ checkbox enabled, the description for which says “If enabled and the uploaded files are added to Media Library then any user fields submitted together with the files will be shown in Media Library”

In my uploader instance I have the add to Media Library enabled and have two additional user fields added to the basic uploader one a single line text entry and the other a dropdown with three options.

The uploaded files are being added to my media library but none of the inputed user field information is visible.

Am I missing something here? Isn’t that what that menu option is supposed to do? Is there a specific symbol or shortcode I need to use?

Essentially I need to add tags to my uploads which are searchable in the media library.

    Thanks

Hi, userdata fields are added as custom fields of the Media Item. If you want to add them as tags, then it can be done with a hook. From which field does it take the tags?

    Regards

    Nickolas
