Show content based on taxonomy

  • I know this has been asked before but I can’t it to work, so I hope someone could help me here, total noob here.

    I created a custom post type (app) and a custom taxonomy (app-category) using a plugin. Under app-category I have free, on-sale, and new. I also created the archive template for the custom post type.

    What I want to achieve is to show stickers on the top left of each post in the archive page to tell users whether this is free, on-sale, or new app.

    Appreciate any help.
