    Hi!

I have a question which involves three woocommerce plugins:
    – Product Bundles
    – Composited products
    – Follow up emails

In our webshop we sell composited products (gift boxes). The composited products consist of a few base products people can’t choose from and a few choice products people can choose from.

The base products are first bundled into a bundled product and then we add them to the composited product. These bundled procucts are published as hidden products, so they don’t show up in the webshop among the other products. In the cart, invoice, confirmation email etc the composited product is shown with a little summary of what products it is made up of. This is great because people can check what exactly they’ve orderd one more time. It’s arranged in a nice hiarcghy as well, so it’s very clear.

The problem starts with the review requests. We’ve purchased the ‘Follow-Ups’ plugin because we want to send out automated review requests. So I’ve set up the email and added the “{item_names} variable” to give the customer links to the products they have purchased. The problem is that the composited products get broken up in this mail as well, but not in a good way.
If someone has bought a composite product it’s shown in the follow up email as follows:
    – The composited product
    – The bundle (this is supposed to be a hidden product, but it’s clickable now)
    – The products that make up the bundle
    – contents that make up the rest of the composited product

So all hiarchy is gone and hidden products are suddenly clickable, it’s a mess.

Is there a way to show the composited product in those follow up emails whithout also listing al of the components? And to make it more complicated, is there a way to do this without removing this summary from cart and invoices as well? Because it is actually usefull on those…

I really really really hope so!

    Thank you in advance!`

Hi @maykata, Thank you for your reply.
We are using your paid extensions and I already asked this question at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support last week. I never got an answer, that’s why I’m asking here.

    Hi @catinka88

Do you have a ticket number that we can look up?

Sadly I was not able to resolve this issue. The (very helpful) people at the woocommerce helpdesk couldn’t help either because there are compatibility issues between these three plugins.

I must say I’m disapointed because it’s not like I’m trying to get three free plugins from independent developers to get to work together. These are all plugins I’ve bought directly from woocommerce and none of them are cheap. I understand it probably only seems like a simple problem and it’s actually very difficult, but it’s still very disapointing.
