Show child categories on category page?

    Is there any way to display the child categories first (if any) instead of the posts when you select a parent category?

    there isnt any way to do this;
    The closest thing is the ‘category overview’ but that shows an overview of all your categories, not just ‘the child categories of the current category’

    Thanks anyway. I’ve set up a page representing the parent category containing hacked versions of the thumbnail boxes with fixed links to my child categories. It’s nasty but it’s a solution.
