Show category link as pages

    Hi,
    How can I show category links as pages ? Allow me to explain..

    I added few categories as menu items. It works fine. If I mouseove the menu, it shows the link in status bar of the website. as …../category/menu,how can I show it as …../menu

    so, instead of
    samplesite.com/category/menu1
    samplesite.com/menu1

    Please help
