Show Category Description

  • When clicking on a category we would like it to show both the title of the category at the top (which it is doing) AND the description of the category (which it is not doing). How do we get it to show the category description on the category page? I tried modifying the CSS given to someone that wanted to take out the category title and description but that didn’t help.

    Hi @amandasfdcsolutions,

    Hemingway doesn’t output the category description on archive pages. I can take a look at adding it in a future update, but I can’t make any promises as to when that might happen. Your best bet would be to create a child theme, duplicate the index.php file and add output of the category description to it (or hire a developer to do it for you).
